President Obama At The Apollo Theater

It’s 2012! and the presidential campaign is heating up fast! The crowd went wild last night at the Apollo Theater as President Obama gave the performance of his life singing  “Let’s Stay Together,” while summoning America to vote for him again for president in 2012. Last night he was the main speaker for a fundraiser at the legendary Apollo Theater in Harlem. This was his third stop in New York for his presidential re-election campaign. Earlier this week, he attended a fundraiser at the Daniel Restaurant in Manhattan, and later a $35,000 per ticket party was held at Spike Lee’s home in New York City. After his performance, the president said,

"it's good to know that the Reverend Al Green was here..." and then letting loose with the first few bars of Green's hit song. After the president sang "I ... I'm so in love with you..." the audience cheered, and the president looked off stage, presumably to his staff, saying: "those guys didn't think I would do it! I told you I was gonna do it! And the Sandman did not come out."

At the end of his speech, President Obama admitted that this will be a tough race for him, but he is very confident that he will be re-elected as president in 2012.   Legendary singer and songwriter, Al Green ("Let's Stay Together"), was in the audience during the president's performance.
